Version: 2.four.1
GitHub Desktop has no graphical view of commits, which makes it a not-starter for me. I apply SourceTree to view history and compare commits to each other or to the current state of the working re-create, and the graphical view is indispensable for this. (I use the command line for most other things).

Really excellent Git tool. It is the ideal complement to the command line. Polished and intuitive UI that makes everything even branching/merging very uncomplicated. Tiny quirks here and there, but the development squad is actively working on it and very responsive and friendly. Yous can tell there was definitely some good idea put into this app from the starting time.

Version: 1.0.3
Works very well for me for all my basic and mutual Git tasks (committing, pushing & pulling, branching). The UI is very polished, although I don't like the iOS style on OS X in general - simply that'southward just my preference, I judge. No stability bug then far. BTW, this application works fine with non-GitHub repositories.

Version: ane.0.3
Had a look at this for use with local repositories. It has what appears to exist a slick interface, and nice features, similar scanning for local repositories. All the same, it is very buggy in this and volition non work well with a local repository. Don't know about use with Github site, only is not a replacement for Tower when working with local repositories.
Very impressed with this initial release, have to be honest and say I'k really glad I did not buy Tower now.
